First day (24/09)
The first motion of the day was to select the group speaker and the secretary. Tasti was appointed as the group speaker, and Vinyl as the secretary. We then discussed how we plan to complete the project.
Our goal is to finish the project by the end of this week. Vinyl and Shade will work on the tokenization part, while Tasti and Ivy will focus on the counting part. Although the project is divided into two tasks, we intend to work closely together as a team throughout.
We will officially start the project tomorrow.
The meeting ended at 11:15
Second day (25/09)
The project officially started as planned. Shade and Vinly worked on the tokenization part, while Tasti and Ivy worked on the counting part.
Since Vinyl is still a beginner in programming, she mainly observed Shade’s work and received detailed explanations at each step. Shade took time to explain their thought process and coding decisions clearly.
Meanwhile, Tasti and Ivy implemented a function that takes a list of words and counts how often each word appears.
The project work for the day was completed in under two hours.
Although it was not discussed during the group session, Vinyl later decided to redo the project on her own, at a slower pace, as a form of self-practice to improve her programming skills. This is a personal learning effort and is not part of the group submission.
